Public School Dance Programs

Middle School Ballroom Dance

JIF sponsors a middle school ballroom dance program at both Floyd Dryden Middle School and DZ Middle School during the school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Homework Study (with aide) in the Library 3 - 4. Dancing in the Commons 4 - 5 with instructor Pat Belec. Cost is only $10 and scholarships are available. Registration is at the respective school office.

There is no activity bus for this activity.

 

 

High School Dance Opportunities

JIF has worked closely with Juneau Douglas High School in assisting in its ballroom classes. During Spring 2008 it offered performance-level folk dance as part of a music theater class. It expects to offer an elective folk dance class during Fall 2008 or Spring 2009. It provided three full scholarships to Juneau Douglas High School students to attend the July 2008 Stockton Folk Dance Camp.
